As Faerie walked down the steps of the Temple an earthshake sent her to her knees. I wonder what that was. She got up and saw a distant disturbance in the Jungle.

Frostfur walked down, she glared at the human she HATED humans, the earthshake had shaken Frostfur, but since she wasn't as big as the human, she hadn't fell down, plus she had four legs, she stared at the temple and meowed, a thanks, and she bowed, and with a nod of her head and a glare at the human, she walked off

Faerie eyed the cat. She loved cats but thought that the cat was far big to take inside and give a slice of venison and a saucer of milk. Besides, it didn't seem to like her.

Faerie pulled herself away from the fascination of the cat. PEGASAN! She shouted with her mind for him to come.

Frostfur stopped, then she walked back to the human, though she didn't like humans, he sat beside the human, about 5 feet away then she meowed.. she said to the human Who the heck is PEGASAN?? and she sat, she exepecting to the human to stand there looking at her and say You can talk?? then she would say OF COURSE I CAN TALK! but she didn't say anything

Faerie looked at the cat. He's a vampyre flying horse, and guardian of this temple. She had no doubt that the cat heard her, as she always spoke with her mind. She didn't find it surprising that the cat spoke as the cat was obviously just as intelligent as herself.

Certainly. Step this way. Would you prefer venison, rabbit, pork, beef or anything else? Faerie turned around and started to walk back into the temple. Seeing as Pegasan hadn't come yet then that could wait.

What the?! The ground under Joseia's feet was shaking violently, so that it threw him to the ground and into a large rut. But the movement lasted only a few seconds. He gripped a thick vine above his head and slowly pulled himself up, cursing all the way. What he wouldn't give to have wings like Adriel right now! Then he'd be able to fly ABOVE the jungle instead of havning to trudge THROUGH it. Oh well, no use in wishing for things that can't happen. At least he was able to light a fire every night to keep the wild animals away. He got up and dusted himself off, then looked around, as if to see the source of the minor quake, but there was nothing. So he started, once again, making his way laborously through the thick underbrush, always going southeast. However, he reached his destination sooner than he expected. A few paces ahead of him, the jungle plants stared clearing out, making way for a path. He followed the path and came to a very large clearing, with a stone sort of building in the middle. The stones were old and crumbling, and there were many statues and figures carved and placed around it. The temple looked as if it had been a very grand place in it's younger days. Hhmmmm, this must be the "temple" that the old merchant was talking about. he thought, I wonder if it's safe to go in..... As he approached the temple he saw, to his surprise, a girl and a cat standing there, as if in deep conversation. It didn't surprise him, though. After all, he was from a place where animals talked and there were half-humans and people with special powers. He himself had a special talent - being a fire-eater. He earned a living by wandering from town to town and playing in the village squares, entertaining people with his tricks. But not many beings here cared for this type on entertainment, which was dissapointing.
He looked up at the girl and the cat again, should I ask them for help? he thought. The cat didn't look to happy, but the girl's expression was a little more friendly. Joseia walked out of the jungle brush and up the the steps of the temple, the two looked at him strangly. He hadn't been doing to well the last few days, and must have looked like a wreck. Anyhow, he needed some sort of directions, so he spoke up. "Hi...er...I'm a little bit lost, but is this the temple?" he wasn't sure weather to address the cat or the human, so he spoke to both. "I don't know this part of the country well and I need some directions." Wearily, he leaned against the crumbling stone wall and looked from one to the other, waiting for a response.

"I'm looking for someone." he replied, out of breath, "It's slightly Important. Do you know where I can find the town Eskerpes?" He didn't know that the Eskerpes were a range of mountains, but he Had managed to track Adriel down to where he Might find her, or so he thought.
The look the cat gave him! He felt more like a stranger than ever.

"Eskerpes?" She frowned, then giggled. "Oh, the mountain range! There's several towns there. And the mountains are in that direction." She pointed to the East, where the mountains rose up no more than 20 leagues away.
